Literature Text

The Alaskan noon day moon sets and rises once a year
in the wild athabaskan village, lost in the interior
of a land of so much winter ice you'd have to wear tire-chains
that is, if there were paved roads and not the frozen lake roads and river roads
that had to be plowed every snow fall by the villagers so we could have the privilege
of driving for two hours to the grocery store and four hours for a Big Mac n' fries
No cops out there to stop the pot smokin teens from pot smokin
or the whiskey drinking Indians from whiskey drinking themselves drunk
enough to shoot something or someone over something or someone--there were
No doctors to sew you up after a gun shot wound or bear trap snap to the leg
The rainbow aurora danced and pulsated for the millions of billions of tiny stars and planets to its own silent music in the clear darkness of the
Alaskan night sky over Healy Lake Village, and sometimes it would come right down to earth
and dance in the trees and hills behind my house
This was going to be a long epic beat poem, but then laziness took hold and didnt let go, so this will never be finnished

Well - it's pretty good the way it is!
